Meet the Team
Kathleen Lieb, RN
Kathleen is a Registered Nurse and co-founder of MD Weight Loss who has focused her career on helping individuals achieve a healthy weight and healthy lifestyle. She has been in the healthcare field for the past 40 years, with experience ranging from Critical Care Nursing, Homecare, Healthcare Management, to Outpatient Care.
Many of Kathleen's patients had significant health problems as a result of being severely overweight, which led her to devote the next chapter of her career to weight loss and wellness. As a health-coach, Kathleen believes that a comprehensive weight loss program can help individuals regain control and restore wellness.
George Lieb MD, FCCP
Dr. Lieb, co-founder of MD Weight loss, has worked in Private Practice from 1992 until present. He is a Board Certified Physician, who specializes in treating obesity related illnesses such as; asthma, sleep apnea, and all breathing disorders.
In addition to his role at MD Weight Loss, Dr. Lieb serves as Campus Chief of Medicine and Chief of Pulmonary Medicine at Riddle Memorial Hospital (RMH), Main Line Health.
He is also the Director of Continuing Medical Education at RMH. Dr. Lieb was awarded Top Doc in Main Line Magazine from 2015-2019, and Top Doc in Philadelphia from 2018 & 2019.
Bridget O'Malley, CHC
Certified Nutrition Counselor
Bridget graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Post-college, she expanded her interest in Nutrition, which led her to pursue a holistic counseling certification by the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Bridget is also a certified Eating Disorder Coach. Bridget’s background in health coaching and nutrition counseling has led her to seek out a career specialized in Weight Loss. She has been with MD Weight loss since 2017, and has truly enjoyed helping individuals reach their many wellness goals. Bridget lives in Manayunk with her husband Nick and beloved Dog Rory!
Judy
Office Administrator
For the last 25 years, Judy has worked as a bookkeeper and accounting consultant. In August of 2016, Judy went on a weight loss journey and joined MD Weight Loss as a client. With Kathleen’s support and guidance, she was able to lose 50 pounds in 6-months and maintain her weight through healthy habits. Judy assisted MD with bookkeeping but in 2020, she became a certified health coach per Bridget’s recommendation.
Judy has been a great addition to the practice because she has a true passion for helping others and can relate to her clients on a personal level. She provides accountability and knowledge to help clients break free of the vicious diet cycle and adopt a healthier lifestyle. She’s always finding creative strategies to help clients such as new products or recipes.
Emily
Emily is our newest member of the MD team! She is joining us in an administrative role and brings great organization, energy, and enthusiasm to our team. With a background in Psychology, Emily is preparing to start her graduate studies in Mental Health Counseling at Temple University this Fall. She is passionate about the powerful connection between mind and body, and how addressing both can lead to lasting wellness. Outside of work, you’ll find Emily spending time with her husband and two dogs, Beau and Morty, taking a pilates class, or trying out a new local restaurant.
Katie
Katie graduated from Penn State University with a major in Biobehavioral Health and a minor in Nutrition. Shortly after graduation, she found herself working for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) as a nutritionist and expanded her nutrition knowledge by providing education and meal plans for local participants. After a year and a half, she found herself at MD Weight Loss and Beyond to continue spreading nutrition information with the goal of helping others succeed in their weight loss journeys. Outside of work, you'll find Katie spending quality time with family and friends.
